5 Takeaways From the SamCart Launch
samcart launch

This past week, SamCart was everywhere.

My inbox was full of affiliate offers, my newsfeed was full of ads and their three-part video series was popping up everywhere.

And while I 100 percent believe that each launch needs to be unique, I think there are definitely practices and ideas you can take and make your own.

Here’s a few of the takeaways you can apply to your next launch:

1. Being Everywhere

Besides the influx of cash, one of the biggest benefits of a launch is the “overnight success” effect.

When you can go from nowhere on my radar, to being everywhere in my online space, that’s a launch well done.

Even if I didn’t purchase your product, I most likely joined your email list, liked your Facebook page or put you on my “when I have enough money” list.

Your Takeaway: Whether you want to use affiliates, run Facebook ads or just post like crazy on social – think of ways you could appear everywhere the moment you launch.

2. Facebook Group and Customer Support

Even though the main aspect of their launch was a three-part video series, the added the extra touch of creating a Facebook group and stocking it with customer service providers.

This group exploded with questions, that were answered promptly, and also provided extra value and content on sales funnels from SamCart.

And now that the launch offer is closed?

This free Facebook group will remain open and continue to generate leads for their evergreen offer.

Your Takeaway: A Facebook group is a great way to add value, but can take a lot of work if you have a small team. Whether you use a group or not, think of ways you can add extra customer service opportunities during your launch.

3. Immediate Affiliate Bonuses

We live in an instant gratification society. So, when I purchase a product and have to wait 30-60 days for my bonus? I get a little impatient.

And to be honest, that’s what I’ve come to expect.

So I was totally surprised (and stoked!) when I got my affiliate bonus just an hour after purchasing the software.

Not only did this bonus give me a great parallel to use with the system, but made me feel like I got instant ROI on my investment.

Your Takeaway: Find a way to excite and delight your customers right away, to make them feel like they have instant ROI.

4. SamCart IRL

One thing I loved about my SamCart check out experience was that I got to see their benefits IRL (in real life).

I chose the monthly payment plan, and used their easy and slick checkout page. That was great!

But then immediately after purchasing, I went to my first upsell offer to get one of the bonuses that had only be offered as a full-pay bonus (The 1-Page Funnel).

This instant preview of their special features in action helped re-enforce my desire to purchase them to use upsells and downsells. And the seamless connection with their membership platform, email software and payment processor.

Your Takeaway: How can you incorporate the experience of your program or product into your launch?

5. Step-by-Step Onboarding

One thing you have to worry about when purchasing any software or new tech is learning how to use it.

SamCart took every care to create a detailed Quick Start Guide, a private customer Facebook group (complete with customer care professionals to manage it) and

Your Takeaway: Even if your program or product isn’t software, you can still follow their lead and help to onboard your new clients and customers to reduce user frustrations and refund rates.

Now I’d love to hear from you!

This is such great insight, Jessica! I saw SamCart emails/posts everywhere too, but I didn’t pull these trends like you did. That’s why I love you — it’s like you can’t help but pull these golden nuggets out of everything and make it so easy for us to apply them!

Adding in a Facebook group to show how amazing their customer service is is GENIUS. I didn’t realize they did that and I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that before. You’re so right, though — not only did they get a chance to give a preview of the brainpower/support you’ll get as a paying customer, the group will help them sell the evergreen product for years to come. Such a smart strategy! I wonder if we’ll start seeing more and more people do that with their launches.

Thanks for the great recap post!!

SamCart absolutely hit it out of the park with their launch and I agree that it’s perfectly OK to take away some important inspiration from how they did it! The “being everywhere” and FB group aspects I think were especially crucial. People need to be reminded, see things more than once and have their questions answered regularly — and these two specific elements of their launch nailed those! Thanks for recapping these takeaways — I think that we can all tweak them a bit and use them in our own, unique ways for future launches!
