3 Tasks You Should Be Outsourcing
outsourcing

How would your business run, if you couldn’t run it?

On a weekday flight back from Las Vegas, I was stuck on the tarmac for over two hours! The plane’s wi-fi wasn’t activated yet, and the signal from the airport itself was too weak to reach me.

To find yourself on a Tuesday, delayed over four hours from your original schedule, could be devastating to some businesses.

That is why having a team is essential.

Not only will a VA or other team member save you day-to-day, but if you’re ever stuck in traffic, on a plane, etc. – all you have to do is send a text or mobile email, and your business is handled.

Even if you’re not ready to commit to an OBM like me, try outsourcing these three things for your business, and I promise you’ll start to see amazing results.

Social Media

Whether you hire a VA for just 2 hours a week, or have an OBM who can create a comprehensive marketing strategy, social media is a MASSIVE time waster for coaches.

You get caught up in free mini coaching through comments and private messages, browse content from other coaches, and get lost in those awful pregnancy ultrasounds your friends keep posting.

It’s estimated that the average entrepreneur spends 20 hours each week on social media. Imagine how many new one-on-one clients you could work with, programs you could create, or put that time to real use and write that book you’ve been wanting to write.

The exception here is social media sites like Periscope and Instagram, that require a little bit of YOU to make them work. If you want to be involved in those channels, you at least have to take the time to snap the pictures, or shoot the video. But, you could outsource the actual photo editing and posting to your VA. Just create a shared folder that has all of your selfies. And you can task your OBM with editing your Periscope recording and sharing it on your other channels or blog.

Tracking Metrics

In order to have a successful business, you need to evaluate what worked and what didn’t.
But, as the business owner, it can be hard to keep track of how many new Facebook fans turned in to clients.

Plus, a second set of eyes can help you analyze trends and patterns in your business that can lead to more clients and more revenue for your coaching business.

By outsourcing your key statistics, you can set up a reporting system that tells the VA/OBM what to track, and know your goals and targets on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.

Website Maintenance

With the rise of DIY website design, and the ease of using WordPress, I know you can create and manage your own website.

But why would you want to?

Instead of spending the time trying to figure out how to add code, change your fonts, or update your brand colors, hire someone else who could do it in 5 minutes.

Outsourcing your website maintenance is essential for coaches, as spending time editing your website most likely does not contribute to your bottom line. Your web developer or OBM can keep your website up to date and secure, add in your most recent opt in offers, and post your blogs, all why you take another discovery call or a walk on the beach.

To be the true CEO of your coaching business you have to remember: just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.
