5 Takeaways from the National Achievers Congress
National Achievers Congress

On August 22 I had the opportunity to attend the National Achievers Congress in DC, and hear from keynote speakers Robert Herjavec, Gary Vaynerchuk and Tony Robbins.

After compiling my pages of notes, here are the 5 biggest takeaways from the event, so that you can start moving forward with a new mindset about your business!

The Biggest Overarching Themes at National Achievers Congress

Before I dive into the keynotes, there were two major themes throughout the event.

1. It’s all about EXECUTION
2. You have to make your MONEY work for you

All of the speakers touched on the value in execution, which is so important from any training, live events, online courses, books, etc. that you learn from and don’t use.

And second, the National Achievers Congress event was so affordable ($97 for 2 tickets), so there were some speakers who also sold their programs on real estate and stock marketing investing.

But sales aside, their points about making your money work for you was received! We work SO HARD as entrepreneurs, that our money should be working for us too!

So make a plan to implement something you learned this week, and then find a place to invest your money so that it can be working as hard as you are.

Robert Herjavec’s View On Goals

Robert Herjavec kicked off the morning conference with his keynote, and encouraged us to make our own definitions of success with our goals.

So many of us are striving for the house, car or six-figure launch, when that may not actually define our true idea of success.

Robert’s goals was to be able to buy his immigrant father a Cadillac.

A few years ago, mine was to leave my 9-5 and just replace my non-profit salary of $35k.

So find your own goal to work for that would make you feel successful, and keep it always as your #1 focus.

Taking 100% Accountability From Gary Vaynerchuk

Gary Vee took the National Achievers Congress stage right before lunch, and dropped tons of amazing knowledge and insights.

But he continued to hit home his number one point – which is to take personal accountability in your life and business, no matter what.

In fact he even went so far as to say, “Everything that’s wrong in your business is your fault!”

But that once you know it’s 100% up to you, you can take back the power and make the necessary changes to bring your business goals to life.

Appreciating It All With Tony Robbins

My biggest takeaway from all four hours of Tony’s session, was that we have to, “Trade your expectations for appreciation.”

I’m constantly striving for that “next level”, and sometimes it can lead to feelings of dissatisfaction.

So, he encouraged us to take two steps back and instead focus on appreciation and gratitude when those feeling creep up, so we can remember all that we have already achieved and experienced, and live a fulfilled life NOW.

I’ve always had trouble with #4 but after my last launch didn’t meet my expectations I realized I had two choices. 1) Blame everyone or everything around me and give up 2) take a hard look at what I did wrong and make the changes necessary to meet my goals.

I think personal accountability this is what makes or breaks an entrepreneur.

Absolutely! And it doesn’t even mean anything wrong – just means sometimes we have to keep trying until we find what works for us. 🙂
