5 Times to Sell Your List
sales email strategy

While there are certainly going to be months where you plan your “big” launches, you’re missing out on a few key marketing angles to get extra income from your list.

If you look to mega retailers like Macy’s, Target, and Victoria’s Secret – they use prime positioning and their famous “semi-annual sales” to increase their store traffic, beyond the general big holiday sales.

In this week’s video, I’m diving into the reason I think you should try these sales strategies in your business, and 5 of the best times to use them.

The Sum of It All

Big launches are certainly worth the time and effort for your signature products, but take advantage of the other major events and holidays happening already.

A few of the ideas I share in the video above include:

  1. Black Friday/Cyber Monday
  2. Other Major Holidays
  3. Unique Minor Holidays
  4. Your Birthday
  5. Your Anniversary

And while the examples I give might include more sales than not, I don’t always think discounts are the way to go.

Consider bundling your existing products, creating a bonus or a limited-time payment plan as part of your offer.

Also, if you don’t have any offerings under $1000, try working these techniques in to your bigger launch strategy. What if your birthday fell into the middle of your launch and offered a special gift? Or if a holiday inspired a limited-time payment plan?

Use the list of sales ideas above and incorporate them into your larger sales email strategy.

I hope you’ll use these tips in your annual marketing plan, and start thinking like a store and not just a business owner!

You hit the nail on the head with these holiday suggestions, Jessica! Why not capitalize on certain times of the year when people aren’t hesitating to buy things anyway? Genius! I will absolutely consider how I can incorporate some future launches/sales during these different times. Thank you for the wonderful insight!

Definitely! I think it would be awesome for you to think of a branding package you could bundle and offer for Black Friday/Cyber Monday this year – and talk about kicking off 2017 with a new, high-end brand. Doesn’t even have to be a discount, but just make it super valuable and include some bonuses and goodies 🙂

Umm love this, Jessica. So smart, as always! I especially love birthday/anniversary deals. For some reason, those feel extra special and personal.

I also love the idea of getting creative to build that sense of “I need it now” without offering a mega discount. I feel like that’s always the default, but the suggestions you gave are still uber compelling without sacrificing major dough. Win-win!

Definitely can be the most personal to use your birthday. It really builds into the raving fans who want to celebrate with you. And it’s a great time to include a “gift” versus the traditional discount.
